We had a quick stop over at Wat Sa Si (in Sukhothai Historical Park), Thailand which is located just a few hundred meters northwest of Wat Mahathat and built on an island surrounded by a large reservoir known as Tra Phang Tra Kuan.
Wat Sa Si is known for the beautiful Walking Buddha. It is said that building Wat Sa Si began in the late 14th century. It is comprised of a bell-shaped chedi, a virharn (Assembly Hall) and Ordination Hall.Beautiful coloured patina on this bronze Buddha image.
In the viharn (Assembly Hall) of Wat Sa Si is this beautiful Buddha image.
