Peru - Gorgeous views from this roadside market - at the highest point in the road between Cusco and Puno. Here at La Raya Pass (Abra La Raya), the altitude is 14,232 feet above sea level.
This day the wind was blowing hard and the chill in the air bit at my face. I was chilled to the bone. I felt sorry for the vendors at this market - I couldn’t imagine how cold they must be. No shelter from the howling winds - how do they do it?
Incredible scenery - spectacular blend of colours. What an amazing drive!
